As a member of the management team, this position is responsible for overseeing all of the accounting operations.   • Participate in the formation and implementation of finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction.
  • Standardize accounting practices, procedures and controls; ensure that standard accounting practices and processes are followed throughout the organization.
  • Oversee accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, payroll, general ledger, bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
  • Perform monthly closings and prepare monthly financial reports and Work in Progress reporting.
  • Review project financial information including budgets, change orders, labor and forecasts; analyzing budget variances and job costing fluctuations.
  • Recommend and implement accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and proper internal controls.
  • Participate in annual budgeting and planning processes.
  • Manage our processes to be consistent with current GAAP, FASB, DOL and other relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain expert job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Oversee preparation of and compliance with Federal and State financial, tax and payroll-related reporting requirements.
  • Support human resource activities including through the interpretation of company philosophy into contribution amounts for key benefits.
  • Produce compensation reporting for internal use and analysis.
  • Plan and coordinate all audit activity.
  • Manage integrations and coordinate ongoing utilization of all financial software systems.
  • Manage record retention for all accounting documents and files.      
  • Provide administrative and technical supervision to accounting staff personnel. Leverage strengths of team members to maximize individual and organizational goals.
  • Perform periodic performance evaluation of accounting staff personnel.
  • Manage special projects


Expected Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA certification.
  • Ten years of hands-on accounting managerial experience.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
